Courtesy post. Contact rescuer by email at 6drwj-4433136513@comm.craigslist.org Looking for a great home for a sweet angel. This pup showed up at my work as a stray. I brought him home, washed him up and he has been an amazingly loving dog since the minute he came home with me. With my work schedule and already having 2 animals of my own, I am sad that I have to find him a new home. He has been well behaved and done really well with the children and other dog in the house. All he wants to do is snuggle, sleep, and play. He is still a puppy and needs some training but he hasn't had any accidents in the house. He is fast learner! I have had ... (Read More)'Obi' neutered, flea treated, vaccinated, and dewormed. He will come with a harness, leash, and a few toys. I am just asking for a small re-homing fee $220. That just covers what I have spent on the vet and his things that will come with him. Please give this baby the loving home he deserves! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-04-20-00409Potter (male)

Cavalier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is Potter. He was running out of time at a high Kill Shelter. We will have updated photos in the next couple of days. I spent a couple of hours with Potter today. He was huddled in the corner of his kennel and very afraid. I just had to give him a chance as I recently lost my beloved Spaniel to old age and just couldn't imagine how scary it is with all the noise and racket. I took Potter out and found that he walks very well on a leash. Follows basic commands. Has a very Calm Demeanor. He loved sitting in my lap and allowed me to give him gentle kisses on the face. He is between 3 and 4 years old. Best Vet guess. He is around 22 pounds. ... (Read More)Very polite, gentle doggy. He did not react to the other dogs or cats at the shelter. I think he will make an excellent family dog. I will be fostering him, getting him neutered and groomed tomorrow. I would love to find him his forever home as soon as possible as he seems so sad to me. I will be updating his photos, or you can email me or call me with any questions. I do not make any money on the dogs I save from the shelter. I only save dogs in risk of euthanasia when I have space in my personal home to foster till a permanent home can be found. As far as adoption fees go,I only ask for reimbursement for the adoption fee I pay the shelter and grooming if needed. If you think you can provide a loving home for this sweet, loving boy, please contact me. I can transport if not too far and I need to do a home check and meet the rest of the family and fur children. Thank you for reading and sharing. Stacey (Less)

Cavalier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Abbycadabby is a 2 1/2 month old beautiful Tri-Color Cavalier King Charles Mix puppy who weighs 5 pounds. This darling little girl is in our rescue because she and 3 other 4 week old puppies were abandoned and too young to go to the shelter so they were taken to a foster home and rescue was called. Abbycadabby is a very sweet playful happy little girl who loves to play with other small puppies and her toys. Abbycadabby will do well in a home with children who are 10 years old and older or with a retired person or couple who have lots of time to spoil this darling little girl. Abbycadabby is doing well at her foster home using newspapers to ... (Read More)potty on in her puppy pen area but she is by no means potty trained and will need continued training in her new loving forever home. We like our rescue dogs and puppies to be placed into homes where someone is home during the day and consideration will be given to those homes first. All of PJ's Small Dog Rescue puppies and dogs are indoor dogs with outside potty and play privileges. Please click on our name PJ's Small Dog Rescue at he bottom of Abbycadabby's page for further information about our rescue, policies and fees. PLEASE NOTE we are NOT a SHELTER, we are a RESCUE so we don't have a facility for you to come and visit our rescue dogs and puppies as all the dogs in our care are in foster homes. After your adoption questionnaire is approved, you will be invited to come and meet the rescue dog or puppy you are interested in for possible adoption. If you are interested in Abbycadabby you must EMAIL us for required adoption questionnaire and one will be emailed back to you (email link for our rescue is at the bottom of Abbycadabby's page). If you are a renter, please have a letter ready at time of adoption from your landlord giving you permission to have a dog. If you already have a dog then it must state you can have more than one dog. Also, it is our policy to not place our small rescue dogs and puppies into homes with large breed dogs but this is on a case by case basis. All of our adoptions are in person so if you are unable to come to Isleton, California for an adoption we will not be able to assist you in adopting one of our rescue dogs. Rescue Me ID: 14-03-10-00341Penny (female)

Cavalier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to take a look. I have been taking care of a Chihuahua cavalier mix for about 9 months now. Her owner passed away and no one would take her. I just didn't have the heart to let her go homeless so we took her in. I can't keep her because my cat doesn't get along with her and my health is making it difficult for me to care for her. I have tried multiple places and no one will take her. I really need to find a home for her soon. She was born on 04/24/2011. She is about 11lbs. I had her spayed, and she is also up to date on shots including her rabies shot. Her name is Penny. She is very sweet and ... (Read More)loving once you get to know her. She will follow you everywhere and loves sitting on your lap. She loves being the center of attention and knows a few tricks like sit and twirl. She isn't completely house broken yet. She is a very energetic little girl and loves to play with her toys. I am trying to find her a home that can be patient with her and take the time to train her. She is very shy and gets scared very easily. She has a tendency to growl at strangers too. She will bark at noises my neighbors make while she is in the house. But she seems to do better outdoors. She loves kitties and will get along with small dogs. I think her owners didn't take her out and socialize her while she was a puppy. She is scared of strangers and will hide when she enters a stranger's house. But after a while she will be her happy self. Me and my family have tried working with her and she is doing a lot better than when I first got her. I hope to find her a home where they can continue training her and show her the world isn't a scary place. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-02-27-00504Baron (male)

Cavalier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Baron is an extremely sweet, but very shy, Cavalier mix who came from a hoarding situation. The dogs were forced to live in piled up feces in a small travel trailer, and were left to their own devices, their owner mentally ill and feeding and watering them when she remembered. Of course, all were not altered and breeding was uncontrolled. Baron was not socialized properly to humans, thus his shyness around people. But he has come a long way since we've had him. He will need a kind, patient owner who can provide a quiet, safe and secure home. Another dog who is confident and not shy, would be a plus to help him see that the world might ... Cavalier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Harper was recently rescued from Ramona Humane Society. She is a cavalier doxie mix. She has been spayed and was recently updated on all of her vaccinations. She is heart worm negative and has had her first dose of frontline and heart guard. She prefers a home with a calm dog or no dogs at all. She will get along with dog friendly cats but may also bark at them at first. She is fostered with 3 bigger dogs and 4 cats. She has also been around children and has done great. We are asking for a family with kids over the age of 4yrs old please because of her size (only 13lbs). She was diagnosed with a genetic cloudy eye. This does NOT require ... (Read More)medication and does not prevent her from playing or affect her quality or quantity of life. She would love a home where she can be the center of the attention and would fulfill the needs of someone looking for a lap dog. $150 adoption fee (Less)

Cavaliers have pleasant dispositions and make wonderful family pets. Cavaliers are gentle with people and animals. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels need companionship and should not be left alone for long. Cavaliers are eager to please and easy to train. They should be kept on a leash since they tend to chase cars.
